Villa Apollonia – Eco‑Friendly residence with Biopietra cladding

Project for Villa Apollonia eco‑friendly residence, a contemporary concept. Built with a timber frame, it is clad in ‘Scaglia Marmolada C58’ Biopietra, which defines its volumes, interacts with the landscape and lends the villa a contemporary elegance.

Villa Apollonia takes shape amidst the picturesque hills of the Marche region as a perfect example of a contemporary eco-friendly residence. The project stems from a comprehensive site regeneration programme, which began with the demolition of an old, disused rural building and was reimagined to create a modern, efficient structure in complete harmony with the surrounding natural environment. The design concept, overseen by architect Luigi Guardiani, skilfully combines a prefabricated timber load-bearing structure with highly energy-efficient technical systems. Every construction detail has been designed to maximise living comfort, minimise environmental impact and ensure an ideal indoor microclimate throughout the year.

The visual and material identity of the villa is defined by the Biopietra regenerated natural stone cladding, chosen in the specific ‘Scaglia Marmolada C58’ texture. This exceptional material does more than simply decorate; it sculpts the geometric volumes of the structure and engages constantly with the hilly landscape. Thanks to its subtle shades and three-dimensional surface, Biopietra lends the villa a contemporary yet timeless elegance, reinforcing the deep connection between architecture, materials and the surrounding environment.
